2023 KINOPROBA SUBMISSIONS

Submissions are open for categories: animation, fiction and non-fiction short films.

In 2023, the International Festival-Workshop of Film Schools Kinoproba is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. Traditionally, the festival will be held in Ekaterinburg, Russia from December 1 to 5.

“Kinoproba festival is moving fast towards its anniversary! It will 20 years old! We are no longer children, nor teenagers. We are just young! 20 years means responsibility and seriousness. There is something to look back, and there is something to strive for! Let’s try together”, Lilia Nemchenko, festival director.

We look forward to receiving applications from the Russian and foreign film departments of universities and professional film schools presenting programs of films by their students, from students presenting student films, and from debutants who have made their first short films.

The applications will be accepted until October 10, 2023.

As in previous years, Kinoproba festival accepts animation, fiction and non-fiction short films not exceeding 30 minutes. We only accept films produced in 2022 or 2023. The country of production and the theme do not matter. But the films should comply with the Russian legislation.

Festival organizers: Autonomous Non-profit Organization “D.K-Kinoklub,” Sverdlovsk regional organization of the Filmmakers Union of Russia, the Ural State University of Architecture and Art.
